User Invitation
You can invite new users to the Firstshift platform from the Administration > User Management section.
To invite the user, click the Add User button in the User Management screen.
Clicking on the Add User button will open a screen where you must provide all the mandatory fields, such as First name, last name, Email ID, and Role.
Click on the save button to invite the user.
The created user will appear on the user management list screen with a "Pending activation" status.
Email Notification
The invited user will receive an email notification to activate the account. The below is the sample format for the email notification for the invitation.
This email notification contains details about the user's mail and the invited person's email ID. Clicking the Continue button opens a screen where the user must create a password.
The create password and Re-enter password fields should match, and the password should meet the following criteria.
- Password should contain a Minimum of 8 and a maximum of 64 characters.
- The password should contain at least one lowercase and uppercase character, a number, and a special character.
The login button will be enabled only after meeting the minimum password requirements. Once after the password is set, the application allows you to login to the Platform.
Clicking on the login button will open a login page like below.
On the login page, you must enter your email and password to log in and access the application.
User invitation status
After setting the password, the status of the created user will be changed from Pending activation to active.
Resend pending invitation flow.
The invited user's status will remain pending activation until the account is activated. You can resend the user invitation for users with pending activation status.
You can resend the invitation to the user by clicking the more “:“ button beside the status.
Clicking on the More button will show options like the ones below.
Once clicked, you can see the toaster message saying, “ User invitation resent successfully.”
